Jim Baker has over thirty years experience in the construction business. You might say that he comes by his skills and love of construction naturally: he grew up on a farm working hard with his 11 siblings, six of whom work today in construction! After graduation, Jim worked for fifteen years in the retail lumber market. Working his way up in the industry, he grew to know every aspect of the lumber business, and honed his skills at accurately calculating the cost of construction projects and applying a realistic budget process. Jim learned early on the importance of estimating accurately, then bring projects in on time and on or under budget. His career advanced to management positions, which ultimately led to his relocation from native West Virginia to North Carolina.
